Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) 2019
A scholarship worth INR Up to INR 7,000 per month and contingency grant up to INR 28,000 per annum
Indian Institute of Science invites applications for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) 2019 fellowship. This fellowship is open for under graduation, graduation and post-graduation students who are pursuing studies in the science stream. Selected candidates will get fellowship up to INR 7,000 per month and up to INR 28,000 as annual contingency grant.
The fellowship is funded and organised by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.

The applicant has to follow these steps in order to apply online:

Step 2: To register, click here
Step 3: Provide personal details such as name, date of birth, the stream of education, phone number and email id, etc.
Step 4: Agree to the terms and conditions and click on register.
Step 5: Username and password will be generated and sent to the registered email id.
Step 6: Login to continue filling the form by providing academic details and scanned copy of photo and signature.
Step 7: Make a payment of application fee by using a Credit Card, ATM-Debit Card or Net Banking.
Note: For General/OBC category the application fee is INR 1,000 and for SC/ST/PWD category the application fee is INR 500. Bank charges extra.
Applicants will be selected on the following grounds:
Q. Do the student has to stick on any defined syllabus for the aptitude test?
A. No, there is no defined syllabus for the test, as it aims to test the understanding and mental ability of the student. However, the question may be asked from the syllabus of class 11, 12 and 1st-year graduation.
Q. Can a student avail the KVPY Fellowship and any other merit scholarship?
A. KVPY does not allow to receive any other scholarship from any other source. If the fellow is already getting financial support, he/she has to relinquish that in order to avail the KVPY Fellowship.
