What is Geddes Scholarship 2018?

The Sanskriti Foundation invites applications from students pursuing graduation/ post graduation/research level program in planning and architecture for Geddes Scholarship 2018. The key objective of the scholarship is not only to promote the understanding of Patrick Geddes' principles of town planning but also advance interest in it.

 

Who can apply for this scholarship?

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must 

  • Be a citizen of India. 
  • Belong to the age-group of 20 to 30 years. 
  • Be studying planning and architecture at the graduate/postgraduate/research level from a reputed institution or university. 

(Note: young practicing professionals can also apply for the scholarship).

Note: Both individual and group applications are accepted. 

 

How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through following steps

  • Step 1: Create a 2-page CV containing full telephonic and postal contact details together with the email id. 
  • Step 2: Prepare the proposal in 1500 words written with specific reference to a specific city/ section/mohalla.
  • Step 3: Mention the name and contact details of two referees in the application.
  • Step 4: Send the duly completed application by post with the title -"Sanskriti - Geddes Scholarship" on the envelope to below-given address.

Terms and Conditions

  • The scholarship is tenable for six months only in which the scholarship amount of INR 45,000 will be given in two different phases.
  • The first installment of the scholarship will be given at the commencement while the second installment will be given after the submission of the complete project report. 
  • The candidates have to submit an interim report to the Coordinator on completion of three months after the work commencement.
