uLektz extends support to BDU in achieving A plus grade from NAAC by enabling ICT- Digital Education

April 22, 2019

uLektz, higher education research, and consulting firm are working with hundreds of colleges and universities in India to help them enable digital education and stay aligned with the recommendations of UGC, AICTE, NAAC, NBA, etc.

uLektz is happy to support BDU in its ICT/ Digital Education initiative and help in achieving A+ grade from National Accreditation and Assessment Council(NAAC). Bharathidasan University recently implemented BDU App, one-stop solution for education, skill development, and career.

In addition, uLektz provides cloud-based LMS and educational ERP to colleges and universities to:

  • Enable digital education for learning and campus management
  • Connect students and educators across institutions for sharing knowledge, experiences, and expertise
  • Profile students using AI and offer them 360 degree personalized guidance and appropriate resources and services for education, skills, and careers through its built-in marketplace.

NAAC Accreditation System

NAAC has been assessing quality standards in higher education in India for more than two decades now.

Accreditation encourages institutions to look for innovative and modern methods of pedagogy which leads to the enhanced educational experience for students

It also helps an institution gain more visibility, international credibility, and enhanced status.

As the institutions need to be submitted to rigorous standards of quality to achieve and maintain accreditation, it puts the institutions on the path of continuous self-improvement.

From the employers perspective, accreditation is proof that the graduates coming out of these institutions must have received the finest quality education.

BDU has improved its score from 3.16 to 3.32 on a 4 point scale in the third assessment cycle which is valid for next 5 years. BDU received this award a week after peer teams visited the campus.

With A+ grade, BDU can start offering open and distance learning (ODL) programmes. It can also start a new course or programme department/school/centre in disciplines that form a part of the existing academic framework without UGC’s approval.

According to BDU's Vice-chancellor  Mr. Manisankar, "A+ grade will increase funding from the ministry of human resources development which will further strengthen the university".

uLektz supports institutions to get accreditation (NAAC, NBA, etc.) with better scores, grades, and rankings. It also enables colleges & universities stay aligned with the recommendations of Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD), University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC), National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
