According to a recent report from AISHE, over 30 lack degree students are enrolled in colleges in tier-2 cities. In comparison to their peers in tier-1, these students face challenges like fewer career opportunities and lack of awareness which hampers their career growth.
The Online Internship Fair is a 9-day internship drive which will be live from December 19, 2018, to December 27, 2018
The drive brings exclusive internship opportunities for the students pursuing BBA, BCom, BA, BSc, and similar degree courses in tier-2 cities like Jaipur, Indore, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and many more
Through this drive, students will get an opportunity to intern with a company for 2-6 months and earn a stipend of up to INR 10,000 per month
"I come across inspirational stories of students from tier-2 and one such example is of Abhipsa Mohanty, a BA graduate in English Literature from Bhubaneswar. She learned about internships from a relative and by pursuing three internships in her first year of college, she gave an early start to her career," he said.
"Through this campaign, we are taking our first step towards our mission to bring meaningful opportunities to students like Abhipsa so that they can build a successful career," Agrawal added.
Founded in 2010, Internshala is on a mission to bring meaningful internship opportunities and bridge the skill-gap between the industry and the students with training on in-demand skills.
Internshala provides internships in a diverse range of fields including engineering, management, applied arts, science, law, design, and so on to around 5 million students and recent graduates registered with it.
