NEET 2019: Tips to score well

Revision: The bulk of your time in the last month should be dedicated to revising what you have learnt. It is better to revise what you already know rather than learning new concepts. Split your day for revision of each subject. Spend 2-3 hours on each subject.

Mock Tests: There is a common misconception that mock tests should be given after your preparation is complete. That is not the case. You should give mock tests regularly alongside your preparation. Mock tests are the best way to validate your revision. You have a clear idea of your strengths and weaknesses from this. Mock tests inculcate the discipline of sitting for 3 hours at a stretch just like the actual exam. They also shape your strategy of giving the actual exam ie the order of sections you will attempt and how much time you will spend on each section amongst other things.

Analysis: Analyzing your performance in a mock is as important as giving a mock. Pay attention to the errors you make. Barring silly mistakes, use these errors to determine whether a topic should be revised or ignored in these 30 days.

Previous year papers: Make sure you go through the previous year papers of at least the last 5 years. You will get a fair idea of the variety and difficulty of the questions asked.

Once your study plan is set, adhere to it strictly. Now that you have figured out when to study, you have to think of how to study. It is vital that your preparation strategy is efficient as the syllabus for the NEET exam is vast.
