Bennett University to conduct 'Vibroengineering' conference and 3-day engineering workshop in Greater Noida

December 12, 2018

The Bennett University's Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is organising 36th International Conference on Vibroengineering jointly with JVE International

Vibroengineering Conference

The Vibroengineering conference will be held at Bennett University, located at Greater Noida, from December 13-15. The conference will cover a wide range of topics including Dynamics, Noise, Vibration and Control Engineering related to aerospace, transport, energy, seismic, infrastructure, environmental, military, civil engineering and other industries.

Researchers, scientists, engineers and practitioners from all over the world will present their latest research results, foster discussion, new ideas, develop partnerships and also publish conference paper in Vibroengineering Procedia indexed in major scientific databases. The participants will present their recent research advances, exchange ideas in innovative engineering technologies

The attendees can learn from a broad range of high-level technical presentations, vibrant discussions and key experts and scientists from all over the world. Find out more about the conference here

Topics of the Conference include:

  • Acoustics, noise control and engineering applications
  • Mechanical vibrations and applications
  • Fault diagnosis based on vibration signal analysis
  • Vibration generation and control
  • Seismic engineering and applications
  • Modal analysis and applications
  • Vibration in transportation engineering
  • Flow-induced structural vibrations
  • Oscillations in biomedical engineering
  • Chaos, nonlinear dynamics and applications
  • Oscillations in Electrical Engineering
  • Fractional dynamics and applications

3-day Engineering Optimization workshop

The University is also conducting a three-day international workshop on "Engineering Optimization: Recent Developments & Applications", by Professor SS Rao, University of Miami, Florida, USA. The Engineering Optimization workshop will be held from December 15 to 17 at the Bennett University. The conference participants need to submit an additional fee to attend the workshop.

The workshop is aimed to provide an in-depth coverage of several optimization methods, including linear, nonlinear, integer and stochastic programming techniques. Also included are modern methods, such as evolutionary (Genetic algorithms), particle swarm and ant colony algorithms and fuzzy optimization techniques. In addition, an introductory presentation will be made on the metaheuristic methods that are being developed in the last 5 to 6 years (such as Honeybee, bat, Firefly, harmony search, cuckoo search, and teaching-learning algorithms). Some practical engineering optimization examples will be presented. The use of MATLAB software for solving optimization problems will also be discussed with examples.

The participants will get a Participation Certificate for attending this workshop. Find out more about this workshop
