JoSAA: Second round seat allocation result to be declared

The second round seat allotment list to be declared by Joint Seat Allocation Authority, today. Candidates who have cleared JEE Advanced and have registered for the counselling process can check their names on the official once the list is released online.


The second allotment list will be released by JOSAA for JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2019 qualified candidates.


The Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education had constituted the Joint Seat Allocation Authority for Joint Sear Allocation process for admission to the Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). To look into the process flow differences between the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs) counselling, a Technical Committee was constituted under the Chairmanship of Director, IIT-Kharagpur. TheTechnical Committee had recommended Joint Seat Allocation process from the academic year 2015-2016.

As per the recommendations of the Technical Committee, the Joint Seat Allocation process through Joint Seat AllocationAuthority (JoSAA) has been put in place from the academic year 2015-2016 onward.
