What is Building Energy Efficiency Higher & Advanced Network (BHAVAN) Fellowships 2020?

Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) invites applications for Building Energy Efficiency Higher & Advanced Network (BHAVAN) Fellowships 2020 from students having PhD, M.Tech, M.S. or M.Arch degree. The aim of this fellowship is to provide opportunities to the brightest and best research students to gain exposure and access to world-class research facilities in US academia and labs. Selected scholars will get the benefits of a monthly stipend, return airfare, contingency allowance, and health insurance.

Who is offering this scholarship ?

The Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) established under an agreement between the Governments of India and the United States of America is offering this fellowship.

Who can apply for this scholarship ?

To be eligible, an applicant must:

• Be an Indian citizen
• Be not more than 40 years as on 31st December 2019
• Have Ph.D./M.Tech./M.S.(Research)/M.Arch. in Science, Engineering, Technology or Architecture in the specific area of Building Energy Efficiency / Built Environment / Habitat Energy Efficiency
• Be pursuing independent research on extra-mural / industry-supported research projects and should have credentials expected of established researches
• Hold a regular position in a public-funded R&D Laboratory/S&T institution/ recognized academic institute (University/College) in India
• Have a letter of acceptance from a reputed U.S. scientific/technological institution/ laboratory where he/she would undertake the research work under the Fellowship/Internship

How can you apply ?

Eligible candidates can apply for the fellowship online through the following steps:

Step 1: Visit the "Online Application Portal for Visitation Programs".
Step 2: Select the program "Building Energy Efficiency" and click on the "Apply Now" button.
Step 3: Click on "Start Application" to begin.
Step 4: Click on "Sign Up" and fill in the required details.
Step 5: Once the sign up is done, the applicants will receive a verification email on their registered email id.
Step 6: Confirm the registration and complete the application process by logging into the online application portal using email id and password.
Step 7: Fill in all required details and upload all supporting documents.
Step 8: Finally, submit the application.

Terms and Conditions

Candidates must have research potentials with good academic records.Fellowships are available for a minimum period of 3 months and a maximum of up to 12 months.
